Jacques Brel's songs on guitar, cigarettes and glasses of wine, unconcern mixed with the fear that the noise may arouse the neighbour's wrath...This is not the room of a student searching for an artificial paradise, it's the room of a 94-year old mother and her son who came to share the last moments of her life with her. When doctors warn him that his mother may pass away in the next days, Belgian film maker Sylvain Biegeleisen decides to film their final exchanges. Much to his surprise, the days become months, months filled with humour, wit and tenderness. The notion of time is lost in the presence of this shining woman who keeps building the future, at the age of 94. A mixture of poetry and irony, a documentary about final moments: an ode to life.
