A man kills his wife's lover upon learning of their affair. The victim is also a business associate. When questioned he appears to be in shock. His lawyer wants to enter a plea of temporary insanity, and the D.A. Travis Logan agrees to it. But he later learns that the man while in the Army, heard of a murder case wherein the defendant was acquitted because he was deemed insane. And that he was aware of the affair long before he claimed he found out about it. Logan also learns that the has another motive for wanting to kill him. So he tries him for murder.
