Zoe is a charismatic, smart 11 year-old girl who lives a quiet life with her father. For her birthday, Zoe is given a journal her Grandfather kept throughout all his world travels and is quickly submerged into his adventure-fuelled life. With the desire to experience the wonders of discovery and thrills of an adventure with her father, she uncovers a fortuitous way to make her dreams come true: entering a travel magazine photo competition, whereby taking three photographs, each in different continents, the winner could win $5000 to fund their next adventure. Zoe decides to henceforth take it upon herself to win with the use of her grandfather's journal to re-create three different countries, all within the perimeters of her own town and imagination.
