Annie's life is tough: she works all hours as a card dealer in a Reno casino and must leave her children with her mother; making matters worse, her ex-husband David is putting pressure on her about the children, and one day he runs off with them. In Lincoln, Nebraska, Cheryl is in the same situation when her ex-husband Michael decides to run off with their children. Six months later, Cheryl finds Annie's name from the missing-children's network, contacts her, and they hit the road together in search of their children.
