A group of six year olds at Garfield Elementary School in Phoenix are providing a demonstration in miniature cars of what it means to be bad drivers, as in real life most traffic accidents are caused by drivers acting like children. In reality, these children and their fellow classmates in grades K through 3 are in a revolutionary program to teach them all about traffic and road safety. Through well known children's games, some modified to add a road or traffic element, demonstrations, and real life doing, they learn about the behaviors that make for a good, safe driver, general safety in all aspects of life, and the rules of the road. These younger students eventually graduate to what the older students learn, namely road safety on bicycles. The consequences of bad driving, in this program and with adults in real life in Phoenix, are also shown. And the effect of the program on the adults in these children's families are discussed.
