The Young Graduates Reviews

Wymer is a high school senior with a taste for the wild life. In the course of this film she seduces a high school teacher (Stewart) while stoned, then fearing she's pregnant, heads off into the mountains with her pal Holiday and hippie Christopher. They encounter a vicious motorcycle gang, members of which mash the hippie and try to rape the girls. The two escape on one of the gang's bikes and are eventually arrested for selling drugs. They end up cleared of the charges, Wymer isn't pregnant, and her pedant lover goes back to his wife. The adults in this film, have the IQs of the average jelly doughnut. Christopher, in his pre-BREAKING AWAY (1979) days, gives the film's best performance, though this certainly isn't a difficult feat. Though rated GP on initial release, this is hardly a film for children. For that matter, it's no film for adults, or for any life form with a smattering of intelligence.
