The Wrong Woman

Arthur Dane, whose father owns a sanitarium in India, has just returned to India from London. He manifests his love for Marion Ora, a nurse, who believes in him until she catches him in a compromising position with Ivy Fairfax, daughter of a patient in the sanitarium. Dane has learned that Ivy is the niece of Sir Marcus Richardson of England and is to be his sole heir. Despite the fact that Dane assures Marion that he is only trifling with Ivy, he marries the latter. Subsequently, Dane and his bride embark for London with Marion, whom Ivy has invited to go with them. There is a terrible storm at sea, during which the ship catches fire. The three get onto a raft and are washed ashore on Desert Island. In an exhausted condition, Ivy lies down on the beach and Dane, seizing the chance, removes the locket containing a photograph of Ivy's mother, since deceased, and Sir Marcus, from her neck. He tells Marion that Ivy is dead and proposes that she become Ivy Fairfax. A ship is hailed and they board it, leaving Ivy on the island. At Sir Marcus's home Marion is received with honor. She immediately endears herself to Sir Marcus. Allen Mostyn, a paleontologist, acquainted with Sir Marcus, becomes enamored of Marion and his affection is reciprocated. While on a cruise, Mostyn lands on Desert Island and finds Ivy, almost insane from hunger and loneliness. He reassures her, and she consents to return to England with him. She regains her memory and when presented by Mostyn at Sir Marcus's home, demands that she be recognized as the real Ivy Fairfax. She is not taken seriously, and Marion, secretly pitying her as she really believed she was dead, will not give her any encouragement. Dane, having been told of Ivy's appearance, plans to rob the Richardson home and make a getaway. He is shot dead by Mostyn while prowling through the house. With Dane out of the way, Marion makes a full confession. Mostyn realizes her sacrifice and forgives her, while Ivy is firmly installed in the Richardson home.

Amish Stud: The Eli Weaver Story

1 hr 25 mins
While he's out fishing with his Mennonite friend Jeremiah Peters on the morning of 2 June, Amish Eli Weaver receives a message via a call to Jeremiah's cell phone that Eli's wife, 29-year-old Barbara Weaver, has been found shot dead in their bed. While the Amish elders want to deal with the issue solely within their community, the Wayne County Sheriff's Department is forced to investigate in the murder having taken place in their jurisdiction, the two investigators being Detectives Bruce London and Mike Maxwell. What is subsequently shown is the current investigation interspersed with flashbacks of Eli and Barbara's life, which Eli admits to the investigators was not always perfect. Those flashbacks show that prior to their marriage, Barbara wanted to marry for romantic love, which is not the Amish way. Eli seemingly wanted the same; he was the black sheep of his family in not always adhering to Amish strictures. London and Maxwell have their theories of who the murderer is; they suspect Eli, who isn't reacting like a typical grieving husband and father, but they know they'll have problems finding evidence because the Amish Eli will have no digital footprint; and the community's sole telephone is a public one for emergencies, usable by anyone. They hope that the unofficial traditional Amish communication network, rampant gossip, will provide some clues. They find that some talk emerges in the form of a collection of women not in the community who were a part of Eli's secret life as the Amish Stud.
