During a summer Sunday outing in the countryside, a young man from the city and his family stumble upon a rural wedding celebration. Following local custom, they are invited to join the festivities. The young man meets Henriette, the bride, who is already disillusioned with her marriage and emotionally distant from her new husband. A subtle but intense attraction develops between the two strangers over the course of the day. This fleeting encounter disrupts the rigid social order of the wedding and exposes unspoken desires, frustrations, and the fragile boundary between duty and freedom. The film quietly examines chance, conformity, and the emotional constraints imposed by tradition.
