The Trap
A lonely fur trader makes an unusual purchase on one of his infrequent trips to town. He acquires a ‘wife’ in the shape of a young orphan girl. Their difficult life together, and the concessions each must make for the other, are not helped by the fact that the girl is mute. However, through a course of challenging events, the girl proves herself his equal in her new surroundings.
