Athens, 17 November 1973. As the massive student demonstration against the Greek junta--led by Colonels Georgios Papadopoulos and Nikolaos Makarezos, and Brigadier Stylianos Pattakos--escalates into a full-scale, four-day revolt, the transitional government of Spyros Markezinis is with its back to the wall. As a result, a four-crew battle tank arrives at the entrance of the National Technical University of Athens to carry out a direct order: crash through the gates to suppress the Athens Polytechnic uprising at all costs.
