The Shadow Men Reviews

In the seventies, UFO expert Stan Mills (Dean Stockwell) survived an assault by extraterrestrials but lost his photographic proof of their existence. Twenty years later, Bob Wilson (Eric Roberts) takes his wife Dez (Sherilyn Fenn) and son Andy (Brendon Ryan Barrett) on a camping trip to the same remote area where Mills had his close encounter. During their capture by the inquisitive spacemen, the terrified Wilsons don't realize that their video camera is taping it all. Later, the camera-shy aliens pose as federal agents and try to retrieve the footage. Unable to convince the police that cosmic tourists are after them, the Wilsons contact Mills and get permission to crash at his safehouse. Following the Wilsons to Mills's fortress, the galactic gangsters prove determined not to appear on "America's Funniest Home Videos." Question: If the aliens are so intelligent, shouldn't they have enough sense to check for cameras? You'd also expect these space goofs to realize that complacent Earthlings wouldn't believe in their existence even if the footage were aired on "60 Minutes." This anti-Alien opus is like a government training film about how to combat unwanted medical exams by space visitors. Aren't those aliens tired of conducting anal probes by now?
