64 years after her father, the photographic-reporter Henri Ballot, accompanied the Villas-Boas brothers on what would be a journey to make the first ever meeting between white people and the Metuktire indigenous people, in the north of Mato Grosso state, the director, Véronique Ballot followed in his same footsteps. What had happened to the Metuktire more than six decades after white men invaded their territory? What would the daughter discover about her father in this far removed land? In this film the Indians do the talking, confront their past, and present and revive their memories through Ballot's photos.
