The Milk Trial
Zaya, a young beautiful Jewish girl living in the Atlas Mountain is drawn to a free life that is not available in the primitive Berber Village. She meets her forbidden love, the leader of the Tuareg band of riders. Her parents and the villagers believe that demons possess her and attempt to "exorcise" them, but to no avail. Zaya becomes pregnant and flees to the mountains to give birth secretly. She hides the baby just before undergoes "The Milk Trial", the ancestors' ancient custom the villagers preserved.
