An American documentary concerning the predictions of the 16th-century French astrologer and physician Michel de Notredame (last name Latinized as "Nostradamus""). The film was presented and narrated by the actor Orson Welles, who also hosted some of its segments. The predicted events attributed to Notredame in the film include (among others) the accidental death of King Henry II of France in 1559, the rise and fall of Napoleon Bonaparte , the assassination of U.S. President Abraham Lincoln in 1865, the rise and fall of Adolf Hitler, the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki in 1945, the assassinate U.S. President John F. Kennedy in 1963, the assassination of Kennedy's brother Robert F. Kennedy in 1968, and the Islamic Revolution of Iran in 1979. The latter parts of the film attempt to depict future events in the 1980s and the 1990s, including several failed predictions. The film predicted the destruction of Los Angeles in a major earthquake, the rise of a "King of Terror" from Arabia who would start a global war against the Western countries, and a supposed terrorist attack in New York City, with fire in the sky above the "great city".
