The Little Prince's Rap Against the Wicked Souls

Two real characters, Little Helio and Garnize ("Bantam", like the chicken), are the centers of this documentary with elements of docudrama. Little Helio, vigilante, 21 years old, known as "The Little Prince", is accused of killing 65 outlaws in the city of Camaragibe and some parts of suburban Recife. Bantam, musician, 26 years old, rapper from the Suburban Faces group, political activist and community leader in Camaragibe, relies on folk culture to survive in the outskirts. Those two are opposites in their social functions and equals in their status as offspring of a silent class war, waged daily in suburbs of major Brazilian metro areas. The documentary was inspired by an account of, circa 1994, Bantam being mugged in the alleyways of his hometown, Camaragibe, and being informed, less then 24 hours later, that Little Helio had "taken care" of his mugger as a compliment for his great job. As of today (2019), Bantam goes on with work as rapper, activist and community leader, while The Little Prince was charged with two accounts of murder and sentenced to 201 years of prison back in 1997. His mental capabilities were questioned but psychiatric assessments were postponed indefinitely. While in prison, he was named assistant warden of a maximum security prison sector, and was killed by three inmates in 2001.

Miracle

2 hr 15 mins
The inspiring story of the team that transcended its sport and united a nation with a new feeling of hope. Based on the true story of one of the greatest moments in sports history, this tale captures a time and place where differences could be settled by games and a cold war could be put on ice. In 1980, the United States Ice Hockey team's coach, Herb Brooks, took a ragtag squad of college kids up against the legendary juggernaut from the Soviet Union at the Olympic Games. Despite the long odds, Team USA carried the pride of a nation yearning for a distraction from world events. With the world watching, the team rose to the occasion, prompting broadcaster Al Michaels' now famous question to the millions viewing at home: Do you believe in miracles? Yes!
