An intimate comedy about minor chaos that feels like an epic crisis because everyone shouts at each other louder than they usually do. Fiery matriarch Angelina Vitali and her oafish husband Vincenzo (Rob Estes) welcome their charming son Nico and his new girlfriend Lily for a family dinner, only to be appalled that she's 1) not Italian, 2) she doesn't eat meat, and 3) she doesn't seem to eat much and doesn't appear to even like eating. Has Nico lost his mind? Has he been bewitched by this unworthy siren? Things get even worse the next day when everyone in the family's orbit is drawn into Angelina's new mission to break up Nico and Lily, from next door neighbors Min and Murray to Angelina's brother Sal, their mother Lucia, as well as Nico's ex-girlfriend Geenaand the local priest Father Joe.
