Andreas, a driven inventor, is the creator of an innovative machine. He is also a congenitally disabled man. However, sheer willpower has always kept him going; through his ingenious compilation of bolts, cogs, and metal, Andreas can now make people hear him--or eat their words. As a result, it is only natural that he refuses to sell it. But life is hard as it is. And with a bedridden mother, a kind aunt, and a layabout brother all financially dependent on him, Andreas is on a collision course with greed and the ugly side of humankind. As Andreas accidentally discovers that his sibling has forged his signature to profit from his device, a crucial question emerges: If ableism is so ingrained in our society and culture, what will it take for Andreas' non-disabled brother to swallow his pride and make up?
