Celine recruits her oldest friend from the military, Vincent, to rob a house strictly on the basis of his skills, and his loyalty. Vincent accepts because he wants to spend more time with the woman he could never quite fall out of love with. as The Heat Goes On, t becomes very clear the purpose of the robbery isn't born out of some selfish robin hood scheme, but more about the desire from both parties to connect again. Every element of the actual robbery goes so smoothly that they spend the whole time talking about their relationship. now I do say the robbery went smoothly... they did end up with duffle bag of money and DVD's, but practically the minute they entered the house the came face to face with a POLICE OFFICER. a result of poor planning? most certainly, BUT, it doesn't even matter. That thrill of grabbing the money and high tailing it out of there just gave Vincent and Celine the greatest thrill of their lives, leaving no question whether they're spark is back... Just not romantically.
