Zadie and Tavio are recent college graduates, fighting to make it day to day as they community organize in their Brooklyn neighborhood. Frustrated by their troubles, Zadie decides to return to the comfort of her childhood home with her former Civil Rights activists parents. However, Zadie and Tavio come to understand that life doesn't necessarily become easier with age, and that there comes a time when you can no longer rely upon your elders to alleviate your struggles. The story explores how the hopes, dreams, failures and successes of each generation are repeated and yet forgotten, parallel yet unique, and how they intersect.
