A society ending event forces a woman to hide in her apartment alone for 23 days. Now, out of water and food, she knows this is her final night in the safety of her home. She prepares herself physically and emotionally to face the unknown and a future with no certainty. The sun is setting. The streets are deadly at night. One last night in sanctuary... hopefully. THE FIRST is a short film and a pilot for an original series by the same name that focuses on the emotional human journey after a society ending event has left these individuals in a world where very little is under their control and absolutely nothing is certain.
