American Idol's third season winner Fantasia Barrino plays herself in a television movie that shows how the teenage single mother overcame poverty, sexual abuse and illiteracy to win the hit talent show. "Life Is Not a Fairy Tale: The Fantasia Barrino Story" will premiere in August 2006 on the women's cable channel, Lifetime Television.
