Collins is a Mountie who is sent undercover to protect a young woman (Rose) and her brother (David), who are being harassed from their homestead by a gang of claim-jumpers. The leader of the gang is Jim Murdock, who befriends Rose and tries to persuade her to move on. Collins arrives in workman's clothes and asks Rose if he can camp on her land, much to Murdock's annoyance. Rose is kidnapped by Murdock's gang and Collins is also attacked when he goes to find her, so it is left to the younger brother to alert the other Mounties and hopefully save the day.
