For the movie The Cincinnati Kid (1965), which centers around the high stakes game of stud poker, magician and one-time gambler Jay Ose is hired to act as technical adviser, specifically, teaching the actors how to handle a deck of cards for close up scenes. Actress Joan Blondell, who plays Lady Fingers in the movie, one of the dealers in the climactic high stakes poker game, is given instruction on how to deal the cards properly for her scenes. Blondell practices what Ose has taught her between takes. Just for fun, Ose also shows her some sleight of hand card tricks.
