Eddie Elgin is married to Ida Down whose parents belong to an Uplift Society. The newly married couple decide to make a trip through the slums and are playfully and somewhat roughly treated by the denizens of a slum cabaret, known as THE CAT'S MEOW. In revenge, Eddie has himself appointed policeman and determines to seek vengeance on those who treated him so shamefully. This he does, after many unusual experiences and the aid of circumstances over which he had no control. But all ends well and the bad gang is wiped out.
