In this atomic age, the use of atoms for more than making bombs are being investigated, this film which highlights the work in advancement of the biological sciences. The use of radioactive isotopes is the core of this work. Among the items studied includes the effects of radioactivity on cells, including their reproduction rate, which could be useful in medicine and agriculture among others. Scientists are also studying the genetic characteristics of these produced cells, i.e. if these changes are carried down through generations.
