While driving his wife to give birth at the maternity ward, Thomas accidentally hits and kills a young man on the road. Marie-France, mother of the deceased, fails to recover from the tragedy. Nine years later, Marie-France becomes Thomas' secretary. When he realizes who she is, he begins to panic that she may learn the truth.
