Sweet Navidad
Victor and Shir(ley) Flores run the city's best hotel and host the most exclusive annual Christmas dinner. Jax is the obvious favorite among the select chefs who compete to be hired as their culinary lead, but this year the couple wants it to be a shared effort with a pastry chef, and they invite Carmen Tirado, a young Puerto Rican baker and clerk in the community's finest cafe'. Both are selected and find cooperating a challenge: he's a control freak, she improvises last-minute. Yet meeting her family and his restaurant sous-chef helps turning the culinary confrontation mutually enriching, while Cupid has his arrows ready. But their futures are in danger and it looks like she messed up their painstakingly-designed menu by failing to turn in the list of ingredients to be ordered.
