Nick and Lara have been living an extraordinarily ordinary life on the fringes of the lower middle class for what feels like forever. She, the starving artist, and he, the eternal job-hopper. Both mean well, but somehow, nothing ever goes according to plan. That is, until one phone call changes everything: Nick's aunt passes away and leaves the unlucky guy a fabulous fortune. But what does one do with so much money as a nouveau riche? Luckily, they have a group of eccentric friends, all of whom believe they've skipped the need for a financial advisor. The result is a bucket list for the wealthy that soon drives Nick and Lara to madness, making them realize what truly matters in life - perhaps, unfortunately, already too late.
