Nader, an Egyptian boy who hasn't hit puberty yet, has a squeaky voice and a small body. His classmates call him faggot and his father insists he has to act and talk like a man. Nader is very religious and constantly reminds himself that God loves him and his bullies will be punished in the afterlife. One day, Nader learns from his religion teacher that God curses men who are not masculine or are similar to women.
