Set on the South Side of Chicago, Step Off the Block is a gritty urban drama that blends street life, family struggle, and the soulful art of steppin' dance culture. Anthony "Tone" Johnson, a young man caught between the lure of the block and the guidance of his hard-working father, faces a turning point when gang violence claims the life of a neighborhood child. With his best friend Dre slipping deeper into the streets, Tone begins to question what "manhood" really means.
