In a small South Indian village, Ranjitham, a resilient landless labourer, toils alongside her friends under the exploitative rule of a domineering employer known as Motor. When Motor refuses to pay wages and targets her friend Sevuthi with ageist cruelty, Ranjitham remains silent, forced to endure the injustice for the sake of her daughter Rene and her education. But Rene defies Motor after he makes inappropriate comments, setting off a chain of retaliation. As Motor tightens his control-denying wages, humiliating Rene, and pushing Ranjitham to physical exhaustion-the quiet suffering of the women reaches a breaking point. When Motor demands Rene clean dog waste in exchange for her dues, Ranjitham erupts in a powerful act of rebellion, challenging the generational oppression they have long endured.
