Roger Collins, a retired businessman, returns to college for the last year of classes for the degree he never completed. He's vowed to eliminate all regrets in this life and getting his college degree was an important goal. But once on campus, his love of Football - and his surprisingly accurate ability to kick field goals (honed through 35-years of weekend practice) - inspires him to try out for the team as a walk-on field goal kicker. After facing some reluctance from the coaching staff and athletic department, his eligibility is cleared by the N.C.A.A. and the national media circus of attention pressures the coach to add him to the roster as college football's first-ever, 64-year old kicker. Roger's field goal accuracy is astounding, with a perfect season record for any kick at 40-yards or less. Soon, the novelty of a "Senior" player turns into genuine fan and media support as the University of Arkansas Razorbacks find themselves in the championship game of the College Football Playoffs. With only 3-seconds left in this final game, and Arkansas behind by three points, the coach calls on Roger to attempt a 54-yard field goal (well beyond his range of accuracy). What transpires in those final moments makes cinematic - and football - history in this ultimate underdog-prevails film.
