A middle-aged woman has become a daydreamer living alone in her childhood home with blurred lines between fantasy and reality. Her thoughts revolve around the time of the war, when her father was a Nazi and she married the wrong man, even though a sympathetic German soldier loved her. When a young man comes to read the electricity meter, she cannot separate past and present. The clash between dream and reality has painful consequences.
