As refuge away from a stalking hunter, a bear is summoned into the solitary cabin in the woods by its occupier, a young blonde girl who seemingly lives there alone. The girl takes care of the bear, including feeding it and hiding it from the suspicious hunter. In turn, the bear and the girl become playmates. The true nature of their confined relationship based on the natural order eventually emerges, with the hunter reentering their lives to complete that order, at least from a human perspective.
