A tense story of robbery, intrigue and murder which takes place on a trans-continental train. When a group of strangers, including thieves and blackmail victims, are thrown together aboard a train, the suspense rises. The film became the prototype which spawned many other successful train thrillers, such as The Lady Vanishes and is one of the most famous British films of the 1930s.
