Victor, a well-known film director, plans to adapt Anton Chekhov's Three Sisters for the screen. As part of his location scouting and rehearsals, he gathers three actresses in a lakeside hotel near Lake Geneva. The women are Julie, Victor's former wife whom he still loves; Cécilia, an Italian actress imposed by the producers; and Esther, a young and inexperienced actress. During this secluded stay, rehearsals blend with private moments, and personal relationships gradually come to the surface. As Victor secretly hopes to rekindle his relationship with Julie, jealousy, desire, and emotional uncertainty complicate both the artistic process and the group's interactions. The film blurs the boundaries between cinema and reality, performance and sincerity, revealing how creation, love, and memory intertwine.
