Madison is a rebellious teenager who's spent most of her life moving from boarding school to boarding school. Her personal relationships are limited, and the only family she has left is her estranged stepmother Patricia. So it's a complete surprise when Patricia suddenly shows up and invites her on a trip to St. Isabel, an island Madison used to visit with her father. Once on the island Madison meets local guide Blake, who plans a paddle-board excursion and takes her to a remote part of the island. Once out on the ocean, Madison has a panic attack, falls off her board, and starts to drown. She miraculously survives this ordeal and somehow makes her way out of the remote jungle and back to the resort--and is stunned to see Blake and Patricia together. She goes looking for answers and discovers that this is no holiday: in fact, she's embroiled in a dark conspiracy that involves her late father.
