Ajmal, an aspiring film actor is forced to leave for Lakshadweep to repair an old dhow in Kavaratti which belongs to the Arakkal family, headed by Beevi Noorjahan (Beevumma) who lives with her daughter Sulfath and grand daughter Jasmine. Haider aka Idhru is a shark hunter and Beevumma's right hand. Ajmal falls for Jasmine at the very first sight and is all praise for her external beauty initially but turns out to be serious about his love, after Jasmine tries to turn him down by telling her sad plight of being brought up in an orthodox family. After an unusual encounter underwater, she falls in love with him. Things take a turn when Idhru gets to know about it which leads to the revelation of an old family secret.
