A highly informative study of Europe's homeless is presented in the latest of RKO Pathe's "This Is America" series. Out of the 6,000,000 displaced persons at the end of the war, the subject reports, all but 850,000 have found a way home. Eighty per cent of the "DPs" are Protestant or Catholic, the remainer are Jewish, the narrator says. Produced by Frederic Ullman, Jr., the film shows the survivors of death camps and labor battalions in their bleak and aimless drift. The relief work of private and government agencies is examined, with animated drawings clarifying the problem. It is a stirring and forceful subject.
