After the collapse of the USSR, the time comes for the redistribution of spheres of influence between criminal groups, in the ranks of which former athletes often find themselves. Those who have martial arts skills are especially valued. A group of guys specializing in a rare form of hand-to-hand fighting, called 'Russian style' and which has its own glorious history, arrives in a provincial town. Their appearance alarmed the leaders of the two rival gangs that control the city. They are trying to get these valuable fighters into their ranks. Any means are used, and the guys are forced to defend themselves.
