This is the story of Lady Jane Grey. As King Henry VIII lies on his deathbed, he instructs his men as to the order of succession to the throne. First his son, then Mary Tudor, then Elizabeth and finally Jane Grey. Those around him adhere to his wishes but quickly scheme to outdo each other.
