Newman's Law Reviews

Standard cop drama has Peppard as a Los Angeles detective who becomes a victim of big city politics, though all along remaining an honest cop. He and his partner, Robinson, uncover a large international drug operation on a routine dope stakeout. But the DA rips Peppard's testimony to shreds, resulting in Peppard's suspension from the force. Peppard is properly tough and cynical in the lead. Credit directer Heffron with an ability to handle action sequences, as he builds the chase scenes into an eventful climax. He had frequently directed Peppard during the run of the TV series "Banacek," but this was his was his first feature film.
