Neruda

The poet Pablo Neruda receives the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1971 and in his acceptance speech, he recalls episodes of his life almost forgotten. In 1948 because of a Senator of the Republic, he is transformed into a fugitive from the political police. In disagreement with the President at the time, who tries to detain him, Neruda must risk his life and ride through the Andes Mountains to escape to Argentina. His fugitive adventure leads him to the south of Chile, where he had lived his childhood and adolescence. It is at this stage of his life that the famous poet writes his fundamental book, 'Canto General'.
