Catherine and Bernard's marriage hasn't been what it used to be for a long time. The couple live past each other, but maintain a facade of contentment on the outside and in front of each other. Catherine has suspected for some time that her husband is cheating on her. When she finally finds proof of an affair in his voicemail, she confronts him: it turns out that her husband has frequent love affairs during his work trips. He himself doesn't think it's worth mentioning, nothing special, doesn't even deny it ... But he doesn't want to talk about it either. For Catherine, the other women are shadowy, imperceptible, intangible. In an attempt to penetrate this world hidden from her, Catherine resorts to an unusual method: not far from her practice in Paris, there is a private club where she approaches the high-class prostitute Marlène. For a fee, Marlène is supposed to seduce her husband and then tell her about what happened. Under the name "Nathalie", Marlène meets Bernard regularly and then tells the betrayed Catherine about the meetings; extremely detailed and erotic - and Catherine wants to know everything. Sometimes skeptical, sometimes annoyed and irritated, sometimes amused, she listens to Marlène's stories about her intimacies with Bernard. The two women develop a kind of friendship, while Catherine seems to lose access to her husband and yet can't get enough of the stories.
