Priya and Mahesh study in medical college and want to get married but Mahesh's mother insults her for being daughter of Tamasha dancer Kaminibai Pandharpurkar and being illegitimate child.Priya returns to her mother and starts living with her but during a performance Kaminibai collapses and further to safe her troupe Priya continues the show.A wealthy Dadasaheb Nimbalkar and his wife Mai are respected by everyone in village due to their loving and helpful nature Dadasaheb finds that Kaminibai is missing and Cheques sent to Priya's college have returned back and decides to find them.Kaminibai never wanted Priya to join her troupe but circumstances forced her in order to save the troupe,Kaminibai passes away due to illness and Priya takes the stage as Mohini.Dadasaheb traces Priya and takes her home to give her respect she needs but Priya holds him responsible for spoiling her and Kaminibai's life and decides to revenge on him.
