In the 1950s, Raphaël Bozzoconi, the owner of a gambling house, is shot dead. He had just partnered in a cigarette trafficking ring with an American gangster named Everett. His accomplices, Ange Leoni, a cabaret owner in Pigalle, and Fantoni, a notorious Marseille gangster, nevertheless decide to continue the trade. Soon, several tons of American cigarettes are smuggled into France. Shortly after, Fantoni is arrested, accused of a murder he did not commit. Upon his release from prison six months later, he discovers that he has been betrayed. He then has only one idea in mind: to flush out the traitors and satisfy his revenge.
