This was two episodes of the series "The Equalizer". In it a young woman named Yvette Marcel, whose father, Philipp is a Canadian law enforcement agent. And it seems that he has an informant in the mob code named, Chrysallis. Now it also seems that this man is about to give very damaging testimony against the mob, so they have to find out who he is. So, one of the top guys, Frank Dorgan kidnaps her and tells her that unless she tells him who this man is, her father is dead. And with time running out and no one to turn to. She turns to her godfather, Control, who in turns to McCall, cause her mother was someone McCall loved.
