Connor needs a nanny for his daughter, Macey, while he's working in Aruba. After several failed interviews he still hasn't found a good candidate when he, through common acquaintances, finds Amber. She's a teacher who's just gone on summer vacation without any special plans. He hires her, and they go to Aruba. However, it turns out to be a challenge for Connor. His wife suddenly left him and his daughter several years ago, and now he finds himself sharing their living with an attractive woman. He tries to set boundaries to protect himself but also to give Amber her privacy. Meanwhile Amber and Macey bond perfectly, but Amber can't understand why Connor behaves so oddly.
