Examines the artwork of leading photojournalist Sebastiao Salgado and places his photographs into the context in which they were taken. In his monumental photo-essay _Workers_, seven years in the making, Salgado's dominant theme is the displacement of manual labor by technological advances. _Workers_ presents an unsentimental documentation of the effects of this new industrial revolution and focuses on laborers in Eastern Europe, Cuba, Gdansk, Brazil, India, Sicily, and Bangladesh. The program is rounded out by archival footage of Salgado's life and commentary from artists, photographers, critics, and writers.
