Zina lives in the suburbs and is in her early twenties. She works as an usher in a Paris theater and is about to marry Slim. He has been her boyfriend for three years and works as a taxi driver while studying law. Behind the scenes at the theater, she meets Frédéric, who plays the lead role in the current play. As they grow closer, the young woman begins to dream of being on stage herself.
